Blistered fingers

Yesterday I got up incredibly early and started painting my room, I did all of the ceiling and skirting boards. I then made my way to Ian's to do some cleaning. From all of the painting and cleaning my feeble hands have developed blisters, they really hurt but I'm going to do it every fortnight now so I will get a bit of money so I had better stop complaining :)
In the evening I met up with Adam, Hannah, Jess, Luke and Ian and we all went to the Met. We had a few drinks and a laugh.

We then decided to go somewhere different but soon realised Uxbridge is very limited in good pubs. The Yarn smells of sick and the Treaty you now have to pay to get in after 10, so we just all went home.
I had to sleep on the sofa last night as I couldn't get my mattress in my room because the door was painted. It was surprisingly comfortable and I didn't wake up with a back ache like I do most mornings.
Again today I woke up early and got painting again. I got covered in paint and it looked like I had albino freckles but all of the painting is now done!! All that is left to do is VAX the carpet and then move all of my furniture in :)

Tea and biscuits

I think I have just broken my toe. I just walked into door, which isn't very clever and now my toe is all pink and bruised and really owwwy.
Anyways, today I got up quite early and washed all of my walls and went and brought my paint for my room, it's called Placid, it's really nice. Then my old tutor, who now works with my mom came over for tea, biscuits and a chat. It was really nice to have a good catch up with her. Mid through her visit my furniture arrived for my room. We specifically asked for it to be delivered anytime after the 9th, so it's two weeks early! I thought it was quite silly but I'm just so happy it's here and it's gorgeous!! So now I need to finish doing my room so I can get it all in and finished, can't wait :)

I also took some random photos of flowers in my garden today:

4 days of awesomeness

Haven't blogged in a few days as I have spent my days in the company of Ian. I have had an amazing few days.

Sunday we went to the cinema and saw Toy Story 3. It was fantastic!! Can't really say much more about it other than you have to see it. We then went to the met with a few people but ended up leaving early as I felt quite ill and just wanted to go to bed. Not sure why I felt rough but nearly fainted which is never good.
Monday afternoon my mom and I moved all of my furniture out of my room so I can get painting soon :)

I then headed to Ian's so we could make our way to Piccadilly Circus to see Jim Jeffries. It was brilliant, it was filmed for his DVD so can't wait until it comes out and to see if we got an appearance. He was so epicly drunk it was hilarious. When we got home we watched the new t.v series of Sherlock Holmes, I thought it was really good.
Tuesday was really nice. It was Ian's mom's birthday so we had a BBQ, there was some fantastic food, thanks to Ian's brother, chocolate fudge cake, wine and UP.
Today Ian, other Ian (Lawson) and I all went to the cinima to see Inception. Again another fantastic film which left us with lots to talk about on the walk home.
This photo was taken by my strumpety friend Kiel. I love it so much, it makes me feel so care free and summery.

Reminiscing

Yesterday I wondered into Uxbridge and brought crispy duck pancakes for dinner for Hannah, Jess and myself. We scoffed it down and watched Black Books. We then headed to the Met which was really good, apart from me nearly having a heart attack because I thought I lost my bag. We then went to Liquid, which luckily we got in for free because I would have never paid full price for it. I really dislike it in there, I love dancing and singing but when I don't know there words, or can't even understand what they are saying, it's not much fun. So Jess and I left early. Ian and a few others then met me near mine for a quick hello and then departed. I then went to bed with ringing ears.

Today was really nice, my aunt and cousin came over and we went through loads of old photos of my Nan and family.

We also ate pizza.

I love looking at old photographs, they bring back such lovely memories and they always have a story behind them. I have kept a few of them so will scan them all in at a later date.

Thunder and Lightning

Today was a nice day. I was awoken by the postman at a time to early to describe. It rained pretty much all day but in the brief half an hour of clear skies I headed to Ian's and we watched True Blood which made everything better :)
We drank lots of tea and just lazed on the sofa. There was a big thunder and lightning storm, when there's rain hitting on windows it always makes me feel all cosy and safe inside. Whilst walking home I realised how much I had missed the rain, the air has been so dry recently. After it rains there is always that really fresh smell which is so lovely.

(Photos by Lauren Withrow)

However much the I appreciated the rain, I do hope it's sunny this Sunday as Ian and I are planning a picnic. It's been years since I've had a good old picnic so fingers crossed the weather will be good for it :)

Moneeyyy!

Yesterday in the evening a few of us gathered at the Met for drinks. It was really good up until I decided to throw a bitch fit which I aimed at Ian, I feel so bad about it, but things are all gravy now :)
Today I got £75!! I went into school first thing to give in some bracelets to some teachers that had asked for them, my art teacher was so kind and gave me £20 for one, she then brought another one for her friend and gave me a tenner!! :)
I then sold three others which totalled up as £24.
After I had finished at school I went round to Ian's where I cleaned his house from top to bottom. As another way of trying to bring in the money I'm doing cleaning or like odd jobs for people. So Ian's mom was kind enough to give me some work. I really enjoyed it actually, I like cleaning, I hate things being untidy or dirty, it's almost like a little OCD, I always put things in order or straight lines, shame I can never keep my room tidy though.
My room is now almost completely empty. The past few days I've been taking everything out so it's ready to paint, looks really bare without all my posters.

I really need to take more photos and buy some more film for my camera. Especially as the weathers so nice, it feels like a waste.

I'm in love with this photo, 1. It has the cutest cat ever, 2. I love fish bone plates and 3. The floral print is so pretty!

Sorry for the rant

This morning was rather crap. My dad had the day off work today which meant I had to be up early and do a ton of work around the house. Before I go on you should know my dad and I don't get on at all. My mom babies him, it's pathetic, if he doesn't get his way he will throw a tantrum. When he is around (which isn't often as he works a lot) he is either nagging at me that I haven't got a job or that I'm on my laptop.
  1. I have handed out CVs and no where in Uxbridge is looking for anyone.
  2. I then thought outside the box to try and get some money in so started selling my art work, but he doesn't see it as a proper job and so called me useless!
  3. I have made leaflets to hand out for cleaning work, but he keeps nagging at me because I haven't handed them out because there's a typo so now I am "stupid and un-organised"
  4. I even got a few shifts at my local pub to shut him up but it wasn't permanent so he kept moaning.
He doesn't understand that things are different from when he left school, he literally left school and walked into the job he still has today! I have tried so hard with school and with my life to do well but he just never appreciates it. He calls me lazy because by the time he gets back from work its the evening so I just want to relax. Seriously there is no pleasing him!
I thought when I got my unconditional offer from my uni he would be so proud and happy, but no. I mean I'm grateful that he is paying for me to go to uni but a bit of praise would be nice. He didn't even get into uni! I'm so much cleverer than him but he still treats me like a stupid little girl, it's so frustrating because all we ever seem to do is fight. I hate violence and confrontation but I could seriously hit him, he works me up so much.
Sorry I just had to get that off my chest.

As the day progressed Hannah came over and we put up the tent we are going to use for V festival, Hannah is terrible at putting up tents but thankfully my many years as a scout and going on family camping trips allowed us to put it up in a flash :)
We then sat in the tent for a bit and I watched Han spak out at the sight of a fly, it was rather amusing.
We then had roast chicken for dinner which was wonderful, I do like roasts. I then had ice-cream and cake because my gut wasn't full. We then watched the IT crowd and Hannah later departed. I'm so glad she came over, it made the day a lot more enjoyable.
Thank you Hannah :)

Do you have your exit buddy?

Today was spent doing nothing at Ian's, it was nice. We watched Finding Nemo which was on telly. I know literally every word, it's quite impressive, my friend Becky and I quote it constantly :) I hate watching films of the telly though when there are adverts in them. They always cut them at the good bits or mid sentence, it's so frustrating!
Last night my lovely friend Pratheep, aka Poove, had a house party, there were some pretty awesome people there and many of laughs were had but by the end of the night I was so tired from the night before and way too sober to be at a party and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep. So Ian and I went home and had a nice cup of tea and went to bed. We woke up at 2, it was a well needed sleep.
My bed is now beckoning me :)

Hoe downs and A&E

Been a while since I've blogged. Jess turned 18 on Wednesday, we went to hers and pre-drank for a while, was really nice, love her house, it's so cute :)
We then went to the Met, we was meant to do a pub crawl around Uxbridge but we just stayed there. Was a brilliant night, saw loads of people I haven't seen in ages which was good. I then ended up staying at Ian's. Thursday Nick and Danny came to mine and we watched Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, it was so good to catch up with them. I've missed spending days just watching films with them. When they left I met some people at the Hay and had a nice drink and catch up.
I'm now up to date with series 3 of True Blood. It's so good, I'm actually in love with Eric, he's amazing! Nom!

Yesterday I dressed up as a cowgirl and went to Gen and Abby's 18th, it was a good night until we walked home, I think everything that could have gone wrong did. I eventually got home and half 4. We walked down the majority of LONG lane, some one got mugged so we walked to the hospital in A&E, there were arguments and people just being pathetic, by the end of the night I was so cold, tired and unfortunately sober.
Today I was up surprisingly early considering the night before so I went shopping with my mom. I got a new top, shoes and a dress :)
I also got some more safely pins because I'm selling the bracelets I make. I've sold about 5 so far and have loads of orders for them, so better get cracking :)

7 Months

The past few days have been rather wonderful. On Sunday Hannah came to mine and we drank tea and sifted through lots of photos which made us giggle :)
It was mine and Ian's 7 months so he came over and we watched The Empire Strikes Back and had dinner and a lovely desert. We then headed to The Load where we played a few drinking games and I got a wee bit tipsy. Ian came back to mine after and we made toast.
Yesterday and today was spent in the company of Faye, haven't seen her in a while, she lives quite far away and has been on holiday. We watched Princess Diaries and had a nice catch up over some tea. We then went to the Load and Dain made us cocktails which made it feel very summery.

We then headed back to mine and watched Stardust and ate cookies and doritos and dip. It was nice :)
Today has been pretty boring, weather has gone back to being all English which is a shame.
It's Jess's birthday tomorrow, can't wait to go out with the whole gang again, it's been awhile since we've all been in the same country!

I'm glad I had GONE

Thursday afternoon Jess and Hannah came over and we drank a lot of tea and had pizza. It was so good to see Jess again, I hadn't realised how much I missed just doing nothing with her. This gathering also involved the most embarrassing moment of my life which was induced by my mother, that is all I'm going to say.
Yesterday Hannah and I went CVing which kinda failed, we looked around all of Uxbridge and literally no one wanted any one :( So instead I spent all of the little money I did have on the Summer Sales.

In the evening I met up with Ian in Westdrayton station and we just about caught the train to Reading. From there we got a McFlurry because we literally melted on the train and needed some form of something cold. However it didn't help me much. We then went to The Butler where Ian's Reading band, GONE, were playing. There were meant to be more bands but they backed out, so a few people fashioned a band which was really good considering some had never played together before.
I wasn't sure about going at first as I hate being in situations where I don't know anyone but it was really good and I got on really well with Ian's friends. Especially Louisa, she's awesome, I mean our first conversation was about Captain Kirk! I'm glad I've finally met her as Ian always talks about her and now I can put a face to a name :)
Unfortunately we had to catch the train back at 12ish, Ian bumped into one of his friends so I had a doze on the train while they talked music stuff. We then got a chicken burger and walked home. We saw Danny and Nick on our walk, I haven't seen Nick in so long which is such a shame as we were so close but he has the type of girlfriend that wont let him see anyone! But hopefully I can steal him back, I saw him first :)

Too tired to conjure a title

Jess is back! And we have already planned a tea drinking session later today, I can't wait :)
I can't actually remember what I did on Monday, it was nothing very interesting, maybe just watched some day time T.V. and did some stuff around the house.
Tuesday I started clearing out my room, well I tidied up under my bed (there was so much junk under there!) and I got rid of loads of my old Kerrang magazines which has cleared up some space. I have managed to convince my dad to get me the wardrobe and draws! And we found a place that does it slightly cheaper which is awesome. So I now have start clearing out my room ready for painting :)
In the evening I went to Ian's, we lazed in bed and watched Moulin Rouge (his choice). In the morning he made me a wonderful bacon sandwich :D

He then played his Xbox and I got sucked into the world of Doodle jump, I'm determined to beat his score!
Yesterday we had a family friend over for dinner, he is a vegetarian so we had like a tapas sort of meal, I didn't think I would like it as I love meat, but it was amazingly tasty. I then went to the Hay with some people and had a nice catch up with some people of many drinks :)
I haven't been sleeping very well recently, not sure why but I just can't get off to sleep and then when I do I wake up so frequently. So I feel like a walking zombie 24/7 :(
Might go have a quick nap so I'm refreshed for Jess and Hannah's visit.

While the cats away the mice will play

Friday my parents went away for the weekend so I was left with a free house. I spent the majority of the day watching episodes of True Blood, I've now finished series two and can't wait to watch series three :)
Ian came over in the evening and I cooked a chicken kiev and mash, was nice. We also made cookies and had them with Ben & Jerry's ice-cream which was the single most amazing thing I have ever consumed. We lazed about on the sofa and watched a Korean vampire movie called Thirst, which was really good!
Saturday we lazed in bed until around lunch time and then Ian departed. Hannah then came over and I watched some more True Blood with her and I made sausage and mash, my cooking skills are amazing :P
As the evening went on various amounts of people came over and we consumed alcohol and generally had a really good night. Was a mixed bunch of people but turned out really good. Can't wait to have another gathering.

This morning my stomach disagreed with the amount of booze I had consumed and made me rather ill for a bit, but I had a nice sausage sandwich and all was made better.
Ian and I watched Nanny McPhee because there was seriously nothing else on. Ian then left and my parents came home so I had a nap. Mark then popped over for a wee bit and we had a nice catch up and drew moustaches on our fingers for some reason.
Got my bank statement through the post the other day as I put some money in and I have more money than I thought, still not a lot but was a nice surprise, so I'm thinking of getting my tattoo soon, really love this one, I just love the way it curves with the body and it's so delicate. Some how don't think my mother will agree though.

Finally finished

I'm finished!!!!! I now have three months off.... I should really get a job. My last exam, which I was really worried about, went rather well I feel. I walked home with a giant grin on my face :)
Hannah then came over for a wee bit and we watched Jeremy Kyle and Escape to the country, gotta love day time T.V. We then went back to school for our art exhibition which went quite well, a few people want to buy my work which is awesome! Here's some of my work I'm selling.

In the evening I met up with Ian and we sat in a field for a while and just had a chat, it was really nice actually. It then got a bit chilly so we went back to his and watched Avatar.
Yesterday I lazed about the house in the morning and watched a few episodes of season two True Blood. It's so good! I then went for a quick drink at the pub before I met up with Beth to go to the Dragon King for our Geography finishing meal. It was only us and two teachers which turned up, but it was really good and I got to stuff myself with Chinese buffet. I then went back to the pub and met up with a few people and drank a lot.
I woke up this morning at about 11.30 and realised I had to be in school by 12. So I had to run to school and hand in some of my art stuff for an auction for charity.
I'm now just about to watch another episode of True Blood :)
My cats been so funny in all this heat, he is even more lazy than he usually is, he' so dopey. Here are some other photos of cute cats!
